My daughter attends a private school. I noticed that there were a disproportionate number of four-door Jeeps in the parking lot. She told me that it’s the popular car right now and all the girls want one. She’s not particularly fond of them.

Then her boyfriend got one.

Semi-related. I once went on a date with a girl who told me two of her worst fears were fast driving and fire . Aside from driving fast, I happen to love fires. Things were... not going to work out.

I’ve been looking for ways to get rid of this kid, so I’m happy that he’s undermining his own status with her.

It’s good that you figured out the girl’s fears on the first date. I’ve dated girls that took way too long to let me know about potential deal-breakers. Thankfully, my wife is willing to let me go off and do “crazy” things as long as she doesn’t have to participate - and I have good life insurance. :)
